Marriage in the UAE is governed by Sharia law, which is based on Islamic law.
The court marriage procedure in the UAE is the same as in other countries; the couple's address, nationality, and citizenship are strongly sought. The following documents are required to marry in the UAE:

Court Marriage Documents in the United Kingdom
For a court marriage in the United Kingdom, you must obtain a notice from the local register office, which takes at least 28 days. Your local register office will provide you with a list of important documents that are required to marry. This notice will be published publicly, and anyone who wishes to oppose the marriage may do so. The following documents are required for a UK court marriage:
Original and photocopies of the couple's passport
Couple's original birth certificate National identity card (original and photocopy both)
Original driver's licence and utility bills are required for address verification (original and photocopies both)
Your previous partners' original death certificates (if anyone is a read more widow)
Visa for residence or entry (if applicable).

After 28 days, the civil marriage authorities will not entertain any objections. Marriage takes place in the court or register offices in the legal premise and also register marriage, the promises are exchanged, and once completed, the registrar and two witnesses (if the couple is over the age of 16) sign on the papers.
